I saw "my baby"
on tv today
she was barefoot and starving
halfway around the world
"my baby" needs only $8 a month
to survive
here i sit with $100 shoes
and too fat for my pants:

"Inasmuch as you have done it
unto one of the least of these
my brerthren you have done it to me"
Matthew 25: 40

"...I was an hungered
and you gave me no meat:
I was thirsty and you gave me no drink
I was a stranger and ye took me not in.
naked and you clothed me not:
sick and in prison and ye visited me not."

earth is like a sandtrap
a detour
an exercise in focusing
on true substance
amidst myriad illusions

a magic wand i hold
which is my heart
it leaps with joy
at the sight and sound of you
my beloved son

since when has Christianity
been a smorgasbord of half-truths
since day one, most likely:

"why do you not understand
my speech?"
